DEFRA permissive paths
You've looked at your Ordnance Survey map to plan your walk, and are frustrated by a missing link.
There's no public footpath, so you will have to walk on the road ... or will you?
The DEFRA website gives details of permissive paths opened under the Countryside Stewardship scheme.
They range from individual fields to longer links between roads or existing public footpaths.
